Jonathan has been recruiting within New Zealand since 2006. A UK
Law graduate, he found his way into the recruitment industry in Australia following a pioneering sales career spanning London and Los Angeles.

He learned his trade building up a Construction Professionals desk for a large global recruitment firm, covering the regional NSW area of Australia. Following secondment to New Zealand and a stint building a Power, Oil & Gas and Heavy Industrial desk, he decided to remain on this side of the Tasman and settled into his new home. Jonathan introduced a boutique Australian brand to the New Zealand market, specialising in ‘rec-to-rec’, sourcing recruitment and HR professionals for the local recruitment industry. Looking to build and develop upon this foundation, Rice Consulting was launched in January 2010.

Jonathan’s style is to recruit and consult with intelligence, passion and integrity. He believes wholeheartedly in the quality of recruitment talent
in the New Zealand marketplace and the value to be gained by businesses engaging strategically with these top recruiters.

Sean has spent nearly 6 years working as an Internal Recruiter and Head-hunter for some of Europe’s most successful businesses. His experience spans multiple sectors including Financial Services, Telecoms, and Utilities. Recruiting up to Board level, Sean is passionate about the value that dynamic, innovative and commercial HR functions can add to organisations. Sean is interested in engaging with Internal Recruitment and HR clients and candidates who share a passion for adding tangible value to businesses through human capital.

As a recent business graduate Vanessa has chosen to join the Rice Consulting team to launch her career into the world of business. She joins the Rice team with several years’ experience in customer service and the hospitality field.

With a natural affinity for sales, marketing and branding her role as Communications Manager will see Vanessa supporting the recruitment, marketing, and operational activities of the business.

Vanessa is also an expert barista with a penchant for shoes and enjoys aerial silks.
